The Regina Geotechnical Group (RGG), invites all students currently registered in any elementary or high school, online learning, homeschooling, college, technical institute, or university in Saskatchewan to participate in the “Building Foundations” Video Competition. The goal is to have some fun while raising awareness and interest in the field of Geotechnical Engineering.

The “Building Foundations” Competition requires students to submit engaging videos related to the field of geotechnical (soil and rock) engineering. Example videos from past competition and other similar competitions are available here. Younger students can make age appropriate videos that are simple and straightforward. The competition categories are as follows:

*NOTE: All awards will be limited to the dollar amount shown, irrespective of whether it is individual or a group submission.

Each category will be evaluated independently by a panel of judges made up of industry professionals and scholars. The winners, after being notified by email, will be announced and awarded in June 2023.
