Regina Geotechnical Group

The Regina Geotechnical Group (RGG) is the Southern Saskatchewan Division of the Canadian Geotechnical Society, a non-profit organization that seeks to advance the field of geotechnical engineering through the sharing of knowledge and experience, providing networking opportunities, and supporting students through donations and scholarships. Each season (running roughly from September through May) we host a series of monthly technical luncheon presentations that bring together the geotechnical community for professional learning and mingling.

The RGG also hosts an annual GeoCelebration event in March each year, which is a night of entertainment and socialization for the local geotechnical community. The event is attended by geotechnical practitioners from all around Canada representing industry, academia and government. The RGG's is increasing its outreach and community engagement with Building Foundations Competition. Saskatchewan students from Kindergarten to post-secondary are invited to submit YouTube videos that showcase geotechnical engineering. More details for these events can be found here.
